How to get to Bellrock Lodge

From Auckland take SH 1 past Whangarei towards Kawakawa. Instead of turning left into Kawakawa carry on straight on SH 10 towards Bay of Islands Opua and watch out for the turnoff towards Opua/Russell on the right.Carry on towards the car ferry which is a contineous service with the last ferry at 10 pm.By air you can fly to Kerikeri airport and hire a car or take a shuttle to Russell os alternatively to the wharf in Paihia from where there is a regular passenger ferry to Russell.Please contact us to pick you up at the Russell wharf.By bus from Auckland go to Paihia bus terminus which is 100 meters from the Paihia wharf from where you can take the passenger ferry to Russell.Please contact us to pick you up from the Russell wharf.

Out and About

Bellrock Lodge is a 5 min.walk to a number of restaurants,pubs and gift shops, many in historic buildings. We are also within walking distance to two swimming beaches, one a pebble beach with grassed areas and the other is an all tide swimming beach. There is also another beach a 5 min drive away at Tepeka Point which is a safe swimming beach.There are a number of sightseeing cruises leaving from the wharf, including Hole in the Rock,dolphin/whale viewing,with either half or full day or if you like speed you can go on the Excitor or Mack Attack.Other points of interest - walking tracks. wineries and fishing can be on one of the fishing charters or from the rocks or surf.
