Sanctuary in the Cove offers a choice of 2 luxury self-contained cottages right at the waters edge. This hideaway in a secluded private cove is perfect for couples who just want to re-vitalise in peace and privacy ; we have a no children policy. The cottages are completely separate and out of sight of each other to ensure guests retain complete privacy. Each cottage has 2 queen bed bedrooms and all the comforts of home. Sanctuary in the Cove is a large secure property (guests use a remote control to enter and leave through the front security gates) with stunning landscaped grounds and a variety of large 400 year old trees. A hidden water garden with a magical waterfall is just one of many areas that guests can utilise while on the grounds.
Guests have the use of their own kayaks and each cottage has its own gas BBQ. Free WIFI and reverse cycle airconditioning/heating enable guests to keep in touch with the outside world while being comfortable whatever the season.
An in-house massage option is available and golfing guests can take advantage of discounted green fees at the two international famed golf resorts - Kauri Cliffs and Carrington.

Air New Zealand has daily flights from Auckland to both the Bay of Islands and Kaitaia. These airports are within 1 hours drive of Sanctuary in the Cove, Coopers Beach.Coopers Beach is a 5 hour drive north from Auckland; firstly on SH1 then turning onto SH10 after Kawakawa.Check In time : 2pm Check Out time : 10am

The small townships of Mangonui/Coopers Beach were central to the first settlements created in New Zealand by the 1800 European arrivals.
