From Christchurch, take Highway One North to the turn of to the West Coast Highway 7. Follow Highway 7 to the Hanmer Springs Junction,7A. Turn right and cross the historic ferry bridge over the Waiau River. turn right into Medway Road before the Hanmer River Bridge, (signposted to Braemar Lodge Charwell Lodge). 400m past the campground turn into the steep drive on the right.
