How to get to Edgewater Resort

Air New Zealand flies directly into Wanaka airport with daily flights from Christchurch. Both Qantas and Air New Zealand fly to Queenstown airport (one hour away) from various domestic ports and from the East Coast of Australia. By road either from the West Coast, via Haast Pass, Christchurch via Lindis Pass or from Dunedin.From the centre of town: From Ardmore St in Central Wanaka drive south west. This road continues as Wanaka Mt Aspiring Road. Turn right into Sargood Drive. Edgewater is located on the right hand side of the road, approximately 2km from the Wanaka Mt Aspiring Road turnoff.

There are spectacular walkways from the resort and at various points in the region. The lake is the focal point for fishing, boating, waterskiing and swimming. In winter there are two international class resorts near by; Cardrona and Treble Cone. As well there is the only Nordic ski area in New Zealand and a dedicated freestyle terrain park.
