For those looking for a quieter experience, Hanmer Springs offers a very pleasant golf course, forest walks, village cruisers, a guided bus tour of Molesworth Station (NZ’s largest farming icon) and horse trekking.
For the fisherman, local rivers boast excellent trout and salmon fishing. But, no matter how you spend your day, at the end of it, a visit to the thermal pools is a perfect way to unwind and relax.
